Privacy Policy. Your data, explained.

At Parlor.ink, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and payment details. For artists, we also collect portfolio images and business information.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with our website, including the pages you visit, features you use, and the actions you take. This helps us improve your experience.

Booking Information

Details about bookings, sessions, messages between artists and clients, and transaction history to provide our core services.

How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery

To provide, maintain, and improve our platform, process payments, facilitate bookings, and enable communication between artists and clients.

Communication

To send you service updates, booking confirmations, payment receipts, and important notifications. We'll also send promotional materials, but you can opt-out anytime.

Platform Improvement

To analyze usage patterns, gather feedback, fix bugs, and develop new features that enhance your experience on Parlor.

Security & Compliance

To detect and prevent fraud, ensure platform security, and comply with legal obligations and payment processing requirements.

Data Security

Protection Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Payment Security

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your complete credit card information on our servers.

Data Breach Protocol

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours and take immediate action to secure the platform.

Your Rights

Access & Control

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You can also export your data in standard formats.

Opt-Out Options

You can opt-out of promotional emails while still receiving important service notifications. Notification preferences can be managed in your account settings.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except for information we're legally required to retain.

GDPR Compliance

For users in the EU, we comply with GDPR regulations. You have additional rights including data portability and the right to be forgotten.

Third-Party Integrations

Google Sign-In

We offer the option to sign in with your Google account via Google OAuth. When you use this option, Google shares your name and email address with us to create or authenticate your account. We do not receive your Google password. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Google Calendar Integration

Artists can optionally connect their Google Calendar to synchronise session bookings. When enabled, we request permission to read and write events on your Google Calendar. We use this access solely to create, update, and remove session events on your behalf. We do not read, store, or share the content of any other calendar events. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions) or from your Parlor.ink settings.

Scope of Google Data Access

The Google Calendar scopes we request are limited to: reading your calendar list (to identify which calendar to write to) and creating/editing/deleting events we have created. We never access events we did not create, and we never share your Google data with any party other than you.

Revoking Google Access

You can disconnect Google Calendar or Google Sign-In at any time via your Parlor.ink account settings. Disconnecting will immediately stop any further data exchange with Google and remove stored OAuth tokens from our system.

Data Sharing

With Other Users

When you book a session or accept a booking, necessary contact information is shared between artist and client to facilitate the service.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform, including Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (database and authentication hosting), and Google (sign-in and calendar integration). These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parlor, our users, or others.

We Never Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is yours.
